History Outline: Katoh Gakuen Gyoshu Junior High School
1947 April   “Numazu Joshi Shogyo Gakko Affiliated Junior High School” established under the new educational system. Mrs. Fuji Katoh inaugurated as the first principal.
June   The new junior high school system authorized.

1954 April

  Renamed to “Numazu Joshi Shogyo High School Affiliated Junior High School.”
1960 June   Renamed to “Numazu Joshi Junior High School.”
1972 May  

The founder, Mrs. Fuji Katoh, passed away.

Dr. Masahide Katoh inaugurated as the second principal.
1974 April   Renamed to “Katoh Gakuen Junior High School” and the coeducational system started.
1977 March   The first graduation ceremony of Katoh Gakuen Junior High School conducted
1983 May   Renamed to “Katoh Gakuen Gyoshu Junior High School.”
1986 November   The 60th anniversary ceremony of the foundation of Katoh Gakuen conducted.
1987 April   The integrated junior and senior high section initiated.
1990 April   Mr. Hiroshi Okamoto inaugurated as the third principal.
October   The School Song established.
1992 November   The First Gyoshu Festival (Culture Festival / Bazaar).
1993 March   Library renovation completed as a part of 10th anniversary celebrations.
1994 April   Mr. Tenji Tsuchiya inaugurated as the forth principal.
1995 April   All junior high school classrooms equipped with air-conditioning equipments.
1998 April   Dr. Masahide Katoh inaugurated as the fifth principal.
The Bilingual Course initiated.
2000 January   Accredited as an IB/MYP School.
2002 March
November
  School uniforms changed.
The three-course (Core・Alpha・Bilingual) system established.
The 20th anniversary ceremony of the school foundation conducted.
2004 December   The Third Katoh Gakuen Symposium: Pitting It All Together .
