Numazu Joshi Koto Gakko Affiliated Kindergarten established.
Mrs. Fuji Katoh inaugurated as the first director. Numazu Institute of Language Education founded.

1969 Junior English School (JES) established in the Institute of Language Education.
1971 Renamed Katoh Kindergarten.
The first Kobato Newsletter issued.
1972 Mrs. Fuji Katoh passed away. Dr. Masahide Katoh inaugurated as the second director.
The 5th anniversary ceremony of the foundation conducted.
The 1st Katoh Gakuen Open Class & Open Plan Workshop.
1973 The 1st Kindergarten Bazaar.
The 2nd Katoh Gakuen Open Class & Open Plan Workshop.
1974 The 3rd Katoh Gakuen Open Class & Open Plan Workshop.
1975 The 4th Katoh Gakuen Open Class & Open Plan Workshop.
1976 The 5th Katoh Gakuen Open Class & Open Plan Workshop.
1977 The 10th anniversary ceremony of the foundation conducted.
1978 The 1st Kobato Festival took place.
1979 The 1st Kobato Gallery took place.
1980 Exchange with American schools started.
1981 The 15th anniversary ceremony of the foundation conducted. The school song monument completed.
1983 The original curriculum leading to elementary education developed.
1984 Home education class started. Research theme: “The function of painting in education.”
1985 Recognized as “a safe driving institution.”
1987 The 20th anniversary ceremony of the foundation conducted.
1989 Computer education started.
1991 The 25th anniversary ceremony of the foundation conducted. “Hagoromo Education Encouragement Prize / School Prize” awarded.
1994 English immersion education started.
The 1st Immersion International Symposium.
1997 The 30th anniversary ceremony of the foundation conducted. The extended child-care program initiated.
Soccer class started.
Exchange with sister kindergartens in Australia started.
The 2nd Immersion International Symposium.
1999 The child-raising circle, “Chu-Chu,” established.
2000 The activities of regular and immersion programs individualized.
2001 Mr. Sadao Hasegawa inaugurated as the 3rd director.
The 35th anniversary ceremony of the foundation conducted.
2004 The 3rd Immersion International Symposium.
2007 Dr. Masahide Katoh inaugurated as the 4th director.
The 40th anniversary ceremony of the foundation conducted.
