History of Katoh

1967	昭和42年	沼津女子高等学校付属幼稚園として設立初代園長に加藤ふぢ就任沼津言語教育研究所創立 Numazu Josi Koto Gakko Affiliated Kindergarten established. Mrs. Fuji Katoh inagurated as the first director. Numazu Institue of Language Education founded.
1969	昭和44年	幼稚園に供設されていた言語教育研究所内にジュニア・イングリッシュ・スクール(JES)を開設 Junior English School (JES) established in the Institute of Language Education.
1971	昭和46年	沼津女子高等学校付属幼稚園から加藤学園幼稚園へ改称こばとニュース創刊 Renamed Katoh Kindergarten. The first Kobato Newsletter issued.
1972	昭和47年	加藤ふぢ逝去につき、加藤正秀第2代園長に就任創立5周年記念式典挙行第1回加藤学園授業公開・オープンプラン研修会 Mrs. Fuji Kath passed away. Dr. Masahide Katoh inaugurated as the second doctor. The 5th anniversary ceremony of the foundation conducted. The 1st Katoh Gakuen Open Class & Open Plan Workshop.
1973	昭和48年	第1回幼稚園バザー実施第2回加藤学園授業公開・オープンプラン研修会 The 1st Kindergarten Bazaar. The 2nd Katoh Gakuen Open Class & Open Plan Workshop.
1974	昭和49年	第3回加藤学園授業公開・オープンプラン研修会 The 3nd Katoh Gakuen Open Class & Open Plan Workshop.
1975	昭和50年	第4回加藤学園授業公開・オープンプラン研修会 The 4nd Katoh Gakuen Open Class & Open Plan Workshop.
1976	昭和51年	第5回加藤学園授業公開・オープンプラン研修会 The 5nd Katoh Gakuen Open Class & Open Plan Workshop.
1977	昭和52年	創立10周年記念式典挙行 The 10th anniversary ceremony of the foundation conducted.
1978	昭和53年	第1回こばとまつり開催 The 1st Kobato Festival took place.
1979	昭和54年	第1回こばとギャラリー開催 The 1st Kobato Gallery took place.
1980	昭和55年	アメリカンスクールとの交歓開始 Exchange with American schools started.
1981	昭和56年	創立15周年記念式典挙行　歌碑序幕 The 15th anniversary ceremony of the foundation conducted. The school song monument completed.
1983	昭和58年	小学校教育につなげる保育過程研究強化 The original curriculum leading to elementary education developed.
1984	昭和59年	家庭教育学級開始　研究テーマ「絵画教育のあり方」 Home education class started. Reserch theme: "The function of painting in education."
1985	昭和60年	「優良安全運転事業所」として表彰される Recognized as "a safe driving institution."
1987	昭和62年	創立20周年記念式典挙行 The 20th anniversary ceremony of the foundation conducted.
1989	平成元年	コンピュータ教育開始 Computer education started.
1991	平成3年	創立25周年記念式典挙行はごろも教育奨励賞・学校賞受賞 The 25th anniversary ceremony oy the foundation conducted. "Hagoromo Education Encouragement Prize / School Prize" awarded.
1994	平成6年	英語イマージョン教育スタート第1回イマージョン教育国際シンポジウム開催 English immersion education started. The 1st Immersion International Symposium.
1997	平成9年	創立30周年記念式典・記念行事実施預かり保育開始サッカー教室開始オーストラリア／姉妹園締結第2回イマージョン教育国際シンポジウム開催 The 30th anniversary ceremony of the foundation conducted. The extended child-care program initated. Soccer class started. Exchange with sister lindergartens in Australia started. The 2nd Immersion International Symposium.
1999	平成11年	子育て支援センター”ちゅちゅ”開設 The child-raising circle, "Chu-Chu", established.
2000	平成12年	レギュラー・イマージョンの活動内容の独立 The activities of regular and immersion programs individualized.
2001	平成13年	第3代園長に長谷川貞夫就任創立35周年記念式典挙行 Mr. Sadao Hasegawa inaugurated as the 3rd director. The 35th anniversary ceremony of the foundation conducted.
2004	平成16年	第3回イマージョン教育国際シンポジウム開催 The 3rd Immersion International Symposium.
2007	平成19年	第4代園長に加藤正秀就任創立40周年記念式典挙行 Dr. Masahide Katoh inaugurated as the 4th director. The 40th anniversary ceremony of the foundation conducted.
2011	平成23年	レギュラーコースから、オープンプランコースへ名称変更
2012	平成24年	新園舎竣工
